on secion 8 lease can i get my own house?

1. I believe that section 8 is Rental assistance, not mortgage assistance. You will have to address this question with your HUD/Section 8 office to determine what your options are. There are other programs though that help low income families purchase homes.
2. Section 8 will not pay a mortgage for you. It is for rental accommodations only.
3. if you are on section 8 you CANNOT afford to buy a house and section 8 will not pay your mortg.buying homes are only for people who have jobs not state assisted.
