want kind of mess will i be getting into if i rent to own a home?
i'm 21 with a good job and good credit. my boyfriends 24 with good credit and some student loans he also has a good job. were thinking about renting a place to own maybe next year. whats the average monthly rent and how does it all work? anything on renting to own should be helpful...thanks.

- Renting to own can be a bit risky. It's mostly for those who can't get conventional funding. If you have good credit I would go the traditional route first as you would most likely get a better interest rate.
- (1) Don't do it without a good lawyer to review the contract. (2) Assume you and B/F will be broken up in 5 years and figure out how you will deal with that issue.
