lease of premises agreement question?
i run a store in los angeles and my first initial lease term expires in end of year the 2007. i have 2 year option on lease contract. but landlord wouldn't give answers to tenants, he has been saying wait since 3 or 4 month now. there are about 5 tenants total in the building. can a landlord kick out tenants without any written notice? is there any protection law for tenants?

- The law is actually out to protect tenants. They changed it around about 20 years ago. Back then it was to protect the Landlord, so you have alot of "lee way". Do not settle without a fight. If you have docs this will especially help you. If anything, they should be "buying you out". See what you can negotiate, but dont settle for less.
