lease agreement?
I leased a car when I was married ( it is in my name) x wife has agreed to continue to pay on the lease (it is in the divorce agreement) if she does not pay can is there any action I can take,paying for the car myself is not an option.

- When you signed your lease agreement if did not have a clause in it saying in case of a divorce she would be responsible. The bank or lease company would come after you and it would be up to you to take her to court to get your money back. You can have her go to the lease company and have the lease put in your name. Or make sure you can make up any back payments that she doesn't. Another option is to have her give you the money each month (write her a receipt) and you make the payment.
- She must refinance the vehicle in her name. It is called transferring a lease. This is the only way to protect your credit.
