My husband and I are looking for a rent to own house ...?
We are newly weds, been married for 2 months, we pay 500 a month for a one bedroom apartment. Since we pay so much for this little apartment, and we would like to start our family right away, we have been thinking about getting a house. We both have pretty bad credit. So we were talking to other people we know about rent to own, or rent with option to buy. I am completely knew to all of this and I wa just wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions in this area. Any personal stories they have and would like to share? We are going to look at a house tonight and we are both really excited!

- Realtor to find it and a really good lawyer to write the contract for deed. Owner can die, default, be foreclosed, refuse to transfer the property, change the price, drop the insurance and the property can be burned down....a million things as well as you walking away, defaulting, dying....)
- We thought about doing that and the rent was double what a mortgage payment would be. Talk with a mortgage company 1st to check your credit. if it is above 620 you can get a loan.
