- there probably are. With the market a little softer now, sellers are offering a lot more options so they can get their mortgage payments covered. With a rent to own or lease option you will have to come to an agreement with the owner on a price. & probably put up some "option" money. Option money is a LOT more than your typical 1st month's rent plus a security deposit. & you should come to an agreement with the owner about being able to apply at least 20% of your payments towards your future closing costs or down payment, should you decide to exercise your right to buy (within 1yr normally) I do have access to the MLS in CA Feel free to use the email or msg. option here at Yahoo!
