Do the Spanish rent or own their homes?
I have a project due in Spanish class at the end of May, and I can't seem to find this anywhere on the web. I need to know whether or not people in Spain rent their homes, own them, or if they are "government owned." HELP!

- You can purchase property in Spain, so it's more than likely a similar system to what we have in the US where you can buy or rent. I'm not sure what the government housing situation is. http://www.spainrei.com/Buy-Prop.shtml
- and also there are government houses, called "houses of official protecction" they are made to families with low rent and they are always > of 90m2, but you can also buy them. The only homes that are owned totally by the government are the civil guards houses in the barracks (a civil guard is as a militar police, i don't know how to say in english)
