- Unfortunately you can't get a loan with a cradit score of 550.
- what does a sore have to do with it?
- You may be able to get a high rick loan, but you are going to pay big time though! I use to work in collections, and I know that your credit score is so important. And based on what yours is, that is on the low end credit score wise. You can build it back up, but its going to take years of paying your bills and what not time.
- Are there any agencies in your area that deal with the handicapped? They may be able to refer you to some sorces that are able to assist with your house upgrade.
- You might not be able to get an unsecured loan by yourself with this credit score, but you still have options. If you have anything you can use as collateral, like a car or a house, you will be more likely to be approved. Or, if you have a qualified cosigner. Friend, relative, coworker, anyone with good credit who is willing to put their name on the loan with you.
- Have you trie contacting your local crippled childrens agency? They can help in different ways for families with children with handicaps. Also you can try an American General Finance or Citi Financial you will be required to have something as collateral and it will have high interest rates. Do you have a bank that you normally you for your personal account? If they know your history they will sometimes make you a loan based on how you bank with them if you explain your situation, you will till be required to have collateral. Most times small town banks are best to help in these situations and with recovering from going through a divorce. The 2 places I have listed here you can fill out applications online for them and they will send you to their nearest branch. Also they will contact you and let you know what they can do. Aher thing is you could call and check with your local social services department and ask and see if they have any programs that can help, I know that they help build on rooms for people who foster parent and such. They may do that through Habitat for Humanity and that is another option for you. Good luck, best wishes.
